High-Performance Foods for Boxers

High-performance eating is boring in the best way. You buy food that recovers you, you cook it, you show up.

Use the athlete plate as the picture. Use this page as the cart. High-protein foods lists numbers if you like tables.

Build the cart around four jobs

Fuel: oats, rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, fruit. These pay for rounds.

Repair: chicken, fish, eggs, dairy or fortified alternatives, beans, tofu. These pay for the holes you punched in yourself.

Micronutrients: vegetables and fruit in colors you will actually eat. Frozen counts.

Convenience that is still food: yogurt, canned fish, frozen veg, leftovers in containers. If the plan needs a chef, it will die on a Wednesday.

Habits that keep the cart honest

  • Shop with a list after you ate
  • Repeat meals you like. Variety can come later
  • Keep a default breakfast so mornings do not become a gas-station meal
  • Use oil and sauces as flavor, not as the meal

Supplements can fill a gap a clinician named. They are not a personality and they are not a substitute for dinner.

Cook it, then throw it. Book a session or complete intake. See Training.
